In 2020...
everyone was challenged personally and professionally – and the challenge isn’t completely over yet. We have had to evaluate our strategies for connecting with customers and networking within the industry. We remembered a time when Larry Bloomfield would take the show on the road and thought that this would be an opportunity to revitalize the concept. From 2002-2010 Larry traveled the continental US with the “Taste of NAB”. He always said that nothing could replace a hands-on experience and there have been too few opportunities to see equipment or software operating in-person. A tour can also afford smaller markets to attend, who do not necessarily have the funds to send a representative to the yearly conventions. The Next Best Thing: A Media Tour aims to present at outdoor, smaller audiences, mostly in conjunction with SBE meetings, while also inviting other media personnel in the area to attend.
